This is one of many coaching activities with tips for being happier
from the new flick-through style happiness book, Colour Your Life.
Book Review: Colour Your Life
"So I took time out to properly read your book and I absolutely love it and will be using your exercises to bring colour in to my life... I knew you had a great idea, didn't realise just how brilliant your teaching ideas were.. I love it so much that I'm gonna buy another copy and send it to my mum... she really needs this book in her life right now and the simplicity is genius." Nicola Klein
Hi there Sandra. I went to your workshop and listened to how that if you feel a bit down you go back to use your colour coding and plan your next week to include surfing 2x. Easy!and life was sweet !!
Anyway I bought the book determined to improve my life and for 5 weeks I coloured my emotions with my choice of colours[ eg red=happy purple=angry] and my activities and I now know how to plan a truly successful day/week/life.Everyday I plan to do 1 hr exercise, talk to a friend, gardening, work on a project- If I include those things I love to do & not just the stuff I need to do,
I am happy.
I really have improved my lifestyle and I feel that my family benefit from my happy disposition . I haven't finished all of the activities in book but I will get around to read them on when the need arises. Thanks so much for the workshop and colour coding method and the beautiful colourful book. Regards Heather Coppell

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is Colour Your Life yet another colouring book?
A: No. There is not one colouring page in the book!
Q: What is the Colour Code Method?
A: Say your new year's goal is to do more exercise. Think about the positive feelings you associate with exercise (or at least after you've done exercise!) Calm, energised, strong?
Allocate a colour to that emotion.
Write in your diary, using your colour, the times you are going to exercise.
The aim is to link the colour with the positive feeling to act as a motivator.
What I've found works best for me is using my colours. I write down what I've done during the day in my colour or draw a little picture in that colour. At a glance I can see which colours feature and which colours are missing. So I know what I need to make time for tomorrow.
Q: Do I have to connect everything to colour?
A: No. Colour Your Life has a range of activities to improve the quality of your life. From de-cluttering to positive self-talk to overcoming obstacles, flick through until you find an activity that resonates. The Colour Code Method is just one of many coaching tools.
For more on this fun, picture and text self-help book, click on the link to my Interview with Fresh FM's Bookworms.😀(If the intro. music is taking too long for your liking, how about you use the time to write your top 2020 goals down in colours that you associate with the feeling of having successfully reached them already.)
Q: Where can I buy my copy?
A: Foyles and Watkins Bookshops in London and Blackwell's in Oxford.
If you're off to Goring on Thames to pay your respects to George Michael, drop into Pierreponts across the road from his house and pick up your copy there.
